Science Fair

Science Fair Idea One- Which microwavable popcorn brand shrinks fastest in what sorts of water?
You buy diffrent brands of microwavable popcorn (i.e- Orville, Act II, Popsecret) and pop them to fullness. Then, you wait a certain amount of time, then pick out twenty kernels and drop them into the water. Time how fast they shrink and record them in a book or notebook.

Science Fair Idea Two- Which drawings of eyes appeal to which age group the most?
This one is a little harder to explain. So, you draw a group of about 12+ eyes. The eyes will come in sets of three, the same gender and ethnicity each group. But each eye is a different age. Baby to child to adult. Then go around, first asking about 12 littler kids (5-8 age wise) and ask them which eye appeals to them most. Then go to a group of teenagers (13-18) and ask them which eye they like the most. Finally, go to a group of adults and ask them whcih eye they like the most. Record the results. Study which eyes appeal most to the different age groups.

Which appeals more to greenness- Line-drying clothes, or using the dryer?
This idea is pretty simple- Which saves more energy and has more appeal- line-drying clothes or dryer-ifying? So, you take lights, wash them, and air-dry them on a line outside in mildly chilly weather. And you get another set dirty, wash them through a washer, and do the same but with a dryer. Then you do the same for a medium and heavy load. See which one dryes the fastest, and which one appeals more to the subjects.
